About Tory...
If you ask Tory Barnett how long she's been singing she'll readily tell you "all my life". Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and raised in Poolville, Texas, Tory started singing when she started talking and started learning guitar at 6 years old with help from her mother, with her first stage appearance at age 12 at the Keithville Jamboree in Louisiana.
Her teen years were spent overseas, affording her the chance to sing professionally at the Western Australia CMA Awards, Ginivy's in Singapore,South East Asia, and with bands in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia.
Upon arrival back in the United States Tory was a regular on the Ark-La-Tex Roundup; the Stallion in Salisbury, North Carolina; and the Western Sky in Shreveport, Louisiana, and walked away with top honors at the True Value contest in Conroe, TX. She also sang on the preview to the CMA awards in 1991.
Since Tory's Nashville arrival she has spared no time starting to work in clubs that have been stepping stones for many top artists of the day, including the Nashville Palace, Tootsie's, Skull's Rainbow Room and Ernest Tubb's Midnight Jamboree.
Tory's unique vocal style has resulted in standing ovations in many clubs, and, in one instance at the Nashville Palace, dead silence and everyone's attention to her a capella version of "Swinging Doors". In addition, Tory has sung onstage with the likes of Janie Frickie, Jeff Healey, and Jeanie C. Riley. When not performing with her own band, Tory gets calls to add vocals to songs in Nashville studios.
With a repertoire of over 500 songs, Tory and her band are sure to be a crowd pleaser in every situation!
